I did return later in the season to seek out the farthest
extent of the routes.
I made it to a peak I later learned was called Pinole Peak
and was at 1059 elevation. I was surprised there was anything this high in the area. Above looks
west to the bay, and below looks south-east to Mt. Diablo.
