SELECTED BIBLIOGRAPHY

ULTRA KLUTZ #1
6/81; Standard Comic
Klutz Enterprises
My first self-published comic, inspired by the underground comics of ten years previous. Amateurishly funny, yet decidedly raunchy. There are no plans for reprinting this book, although it should not be too difficult to track down considering the 10,000 copy print run, most of which went into the hands of collectors in the mid-80’s.

ULTRA KLUTZ AND OTHER TALES #1-5
12/84 - 12/85; Photocopy digest-sized comics
Klutz Enterprises
Unlike the "underground" version, this re-tooled all-ages version of the series used the more humble photocopy digest format to gain a following and obtain feedback. Circulation of 200 to 500 per issue, mainly to local comics chain stores and experimental distributors. Back-up stories by other artists.

ULTRA KLUTZ #1-31
6/86 - 5/91; Standard Comic
Onward Comics
The first five issues reprint the photocopy digest comics then move on to new material. Monthly for the first two years, then bi-monthly until a year-long hiatus in ‘88-’89. Issues 28-31 erratically published afterward. Back-up stories by other artists. Circulation of 18,000 on first issue followed by regular drops to 10,000 - 5,000 - 3,000, etc. during first two years, ultimately reaching hobby-level sales of 1,500 by issue #27.
