Further back and setting in a high valley, is a historic ranch that the park has restored.

Off to the north are the Maguire Peaks
(I'll get to those later).

  

The next ridge has the last of the costal vegetation on the western side before turning to a sea of grassy hills.

  

Now looking back on that ridge, Flag Hill, and Mission Peak.

 

  

  

Here the cliffs are so steep they post signs.
