As you hike NorthWest along Corte Madera Ridge you see the East Peak of Mount Tamalpias. The mountain is ringed with bike trails, but you can take a hiking path that goes 1000 feet straight up the middle.

Looking back into Mill Valley towards San Francisco.

At the base of the mountain the trail is almost like a tumbley stream bed in a long cave of brush.

As you ascend you see the bay and the quintessential fog shooting through the Golden Gate.

Looking back down at the 1000 ft drop. The views make it all worth the effort.

The higher you go the better it gets.
