Down around the south side Los Vaqueros Reservoir comes into view.

You can actually hike all the way to Morgan Territory from Los Vaqueros (a new reservoir for Contra Costa County) but it's a long steep trek. This hike from that side is just five weeks later, after the spring grasses quickly turned brown. Below are a few more shots from that day.
